Brewers All-Star Christian Yelich Sells Malibu Beach Pad for $6.5M

The Milwaukee Brewers star Christian Yelich is also a real estate MVP.  The two-time All-Star recently sold his Malibu, CA, beach house for $6.5 million—$200,000 over his asking price.

The star outfielder purchased the brand-new property in 2018 for $5.6 million. In November 2020, he tossed the home on the market for $6.3 million. He patiently waited for a buyer for a year before parting with the place at a profit. We’d call his tactic a real estate home run.

The modern abode offers three bedrooms and four bathrooms across 2,526 square feet. Sleek and inviting, the space offers an open plan, gourmet kitchen, media room with a wet bar, and an elevator.

Outdoor spaces include a rooftop deck with a spa, and a terrace accessed from the living room through glass doors.

The property also includes laundry facilities and an attached garage. The convenient contemporary is located only minutes from Pacific Palisades and Santa Monica.

Yelich, 30, may have another play in mind in the area. He reportedly owns a parcel to be developed in Malibu’s exclusive Carbon Beach.

Meanwhile, in the off-season, the Gold Glove winner can catch rays at his reported retreat in Paradise Valley, AZ. The $6.5 million mansion on 1 acre offers 6,425 square feet of living space, and a resort-style backyard with a pool, spa, and an outdoor kitchen.

The Thousand Oaks, CA, native got his start in the big leagues with the Miami Marlins in 2010. In 2018, Miami traded him to the Brewers. And in 2020, he signed a nine-year, $215 million contract extension with the Brew Crew.
