Golfer Vijay Singh Is Selling His Heavenly Hawaii Home for $23M

Vijay Singh is letting go of his dreamy Hawaii home. Located on the Big Island’s Hamakua Coast, the 52-acre property is available for $23 million.

The professional golfer had picked up the oceanfront estate in Honomu in 2008 for $5.5 million.

“I love Hawaii,” the Fijian told the Golf Channel in 2007. “It’s my favorite place in the world. It’s just like playing golf in my home country.”

But after nearly two decades of ownership, Singh is teeing up the sale of his ace of a home.

Deluxe digs

The gated estate comes with nearly a mile of ocean frontage and offers “exclusivity, luxury, privacy, and security,” according to the listing.

At the entrance, the land is dotted with Norfolk pines. But in a nod to its tropical climate, the road leading to the estate is flanked with towering royal palms.

The gorgeous grounds also include macadamia trees, citrus and avocado orchards, and acres of manicured lawns—perfect for practicing a golf swing.

The 9,500-square-foot residence was built in 2004 and has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and two half-baths. There’s also a one-bedroom, one-bath guest apartment.

The main house includes a chef’s kitchen, dining room, family room, office, library, and elevator.

On the main level, a covered patio provides space for dining and entertaining.

Although the property is serviced by local utilities, it comes with a deep-water well and a photovoltaic array power source. An equipment barn—complete with all the machinery necessary to care for the property—is also included in the list price.

Putting around

Singh will still have a place to store his clubs. The pro reportedly spends time at his home in the golf mecca of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.

But his Instagram posts show the star living it up on visits to his heavenly Hawaii home.

His cute pups also mug for the camera on their Big Island stays.

Known as the “Big Fijian,” the 59-year-old Singh has won 34 events on the PGA Tour, including a Masters title and two PGA championships. He was elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2006.
