Former San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh finally sold his Atherton, CA, estate, the Los Angeles Times reports. The gated property in the tony town closed for $11.78 million.

The home was listed in August for $12,988,000. Even with the discounted sale price, Harbaugh nearly doubled the $6.3 million he paid for the place in 2012.

The San Francisco Bay Area housing market continues to stay strong, and Atherton stands out as having one of the most expensive ZIP codes. Its current median list price is an astonishing $10,800,000.

Harbaugh, 58, held on to the home for years—even after moving to Ann Arbor, MI, in 2015 as the head coach at the University of Michigan.

We can understand his reluctance to let this place go.

Set on 1.3 acres, the 8,500-square-foot house has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. It was built in 2007 and features hardwood flooring, millwork, and beamed ceilings.
